ATTY. Jose Cristobal Felimon was born to Cecilio Viloria Felimon and Manuela Torio Cristobal on April 13, 1937. A man of the masses, heroes to prominence from a humble beginning, fulfilling his ambition to serve his people.
He graduated valedictorian from the San Jose Colleges and went on to study law, passing the bar in 1967. Forthwith, he entered into private law practice and succeeded in establishing a reputation for trustworthiness and professionalism.
In 1972, he was elected Councilor of the then Municipal Board. His appeal to the masses made him a favourite in a number of local and national elections, although it was insufficient to carry him to victory, but it was in 1992 that he finally made it as City Mayor of San Jose City. He completed three (3) consecutive terms as local chief executive, and is remembered for his development but returned to the pro-poor projects for San Josenians.
He returned to private law practice but returned to the political scene in 2007, being elected City Vice Mayor. Still quite active in the deliberations of the Sanggunian and in local government affairs, he is now on his second term as elected City Councilor of San Jose City, being the chair of the Sangguniang Committee on Finance and Appropriations.
