Councillor Victoria V. Adawag was born on April 12, 1957 in Brgy. Pinili, San Jose City to Bienvenido Borja Vicmudo and Marcosa Sansiangco Reyes, both National Awardees of the Gintong Ama/Ina Award in 1996. She graduated with honors at Porais Elementary and Porais Barrio High School, and earned her Bachelor’s and Post Graduate Degree at the Colleges of the Republic.
She is married to Ret. Pol. Supt. Antonio C. Adwag,former Chief of Police of San Jose city, with whom she has four children: Mark Anthony, SAJELCO emplyoyee; Emmanuel, businessman; Riena Marian, Medical Doctor; and Marivic, former City Councilor.
She taught for fourteen years and become school head/principal for sixteen years in differentbarangays/schools in the city particularly Bagong Sikat, Tabulac, Parang Mangga, Tulat, Dizol, Sto. Tomas, San Jose West Central School and San Jose East Central School. Her leadership in these schools brought awards and recognition to said institutions, to the students, teacher, and the city as well.
She chairs the Committee on Education and Culture and serves as Vice Chairman of the Committee on Police Matters and the Committee on Trade, Commerce and Public Market. She is a member of different committees: Environment, Brgy. Affairs, Infrastructure, Land and Countryside Development and Women and Family.
