San Jose City (Nueva Ecija, Philippines PH) strategic location gained the title of being a "Gateway to the North" as the city's central business district provides easy access to the province of Nueva Vizcaya and the Cagayan Valley Region (55 kms), to Pangasinan and the Ilocos Regions (38 kms), to the country's Summer Capital Baguio City (116 kms) and likewise to the Dingalan Port (70 kms) in Aurora Province.

The city is situated in the northern part of Nueva Ecija, 47 kilometers away from the seat of the provincial government in Palayan City; 160 kms. north of Manila; 116 kms. south of Baguio City; and approximately 150 kms. west of the Clark Special Economic Zone. It is nestled at the foot of the Caraballo Mountain Range, and it is bounded by the Sierra Madre Mountain in the east, Municipality of Carranglan in the North, Municipalities of Lupao and Talugtog in the West and Science City of Muoz and Llanera in the South.

FEP ng San Jose, pinag-aralan ng mga banyaga

Dumayo sa lungsod ng San Jose kahapon (Hulyo 22) ang mga mananaliksik ng Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Organisation (CSIRO) mula Australia, at Wageningen University - Center for Development Innovation mula Netherlands, kasama ang ilang kinatawan ng Jollibee Group Foundation, para pag-aralan ang Farmer Entrepreneurship Program o FEP dito.

Bahagi ito ng paghahanda ng Grow Asia Partnership sa isang "Roundtable Discussion para sa Inclusive Business in Southeast Asia na gaganapin sa September 2016.

Masusing pinag-aralan nina Dr. Andy Hall (CSIRO), Jennifer Kelly (CSIRO) at Monika Sopov (CDI) sa paggabay ng Jollibee Group Foundation sa pangunguna ni Executive Director, Gisela Tiongson ang Farmer Entrepreneurship Program ng lungsod.

Nakisalamuha ang mga mananaliksik sa mga kasapi ng KALASAG Farmers Producers Cooperative (KFPC) sa Barangay San Agustin kung saan kasalukuyan ding nagtatalop ng sibuyas ang mga miyembro ng kooperatibang KABIYAK.

Nagkaroon din sila ng pagkakataon na makapanayam si Mayor Marivic V. Belena, City Cooperative Development Officer Ma. Cristina Corpuz, at City ENRO Trina Cruz.

Nagtapos ang kanilang pagbisita sa lungsod sa isang Focus Group Discussion kasama ang Site Working Group (SWG) ng FEP na kinabibilangan ng CLSU, ASKI at San Jose City LGU.

Ang Grow Asia Partnership ay itinatag ng World Economic Forum at ASEAN upang mapalakas ang pampubliko-pribadong pagtutulungan upang mabawasan ang kahirapan, magkaroon ng seguridad sa pagkain, mapalakas ang produksyon sa agrikultura at makabuo ng pundasyon para sa isang tuloy-tuloy na paglago ng ekonomiya sa ASEAN Region.
